" Welcome Over seventy years ago my parents visited Crantock Bay on their honeymoon and fell in love with the sheer magic of the glorious beach, its cliff walks and beautiful wild flowers. In 1950 the opportunity arose to purchase the hotel and the family has been here ever since.

We continue to marvel at the view across the bay; we love the changing light and moods as dawn moves towards midday and then sunset, and the tides roll in and out before us. We feel hugely privileged to live on a National Trust headland, and the South West Coast Path actually crosses our land. We are excited to be so close to the Eden Project (acclaimed as the 8th Wonder of the World), not to mention the famous Lost Gardens of Heligan which is one of over one hundred beautiful Cornish gardens you can now visit. Christmas Gala Nights Our candlelit restaurant, with attractive festive decorations, provides an intimate location in which to enjoy a carefully prepared four course meal followed by dancing.

There will be daily entertainment which will include a Champagne drinks reception, a car treasure hunt, children’s Smartie Party and much more! Spectacular sea views. Our spacious guest lounges, bar and restaurant have spectacular sea views and our private gardens lead directly onto the coastal path and from there onto the glorious sandy beach of Crantock Bay. This is a truly wonderful setting in which to relax - and many do - from morning to night.

Fine Dining at Crantock. We take personal pride in researching and selecting high quality West Country produce for use in our kitchens. This includes the freshest fish from Newlyn, Crantock Bay shellfish, freshly-reared Zelah beef, local cheeses, specially-made Crantock Bay sausages, plus herbs and vegetables grown in seasonal rotation within half a mile of the hotel.

With these first class ingredients my catering team produces imaginative and varied daily menus including some great vegetarian choices. Of course we cater for all dietary requirements and offer special menus for the youngest members of the family to include a wide choice and fresh produce, with the option of early children's suppers.

Breakfast can be taken in the restaurant, on the terrace, or in your room. There is always a choice of full English breakfast including fresh pastries and croissants. Morning coffee and homemade biscuits are available daily along with afternoon teas featuring delicious homemade scones and Cornish clotted cream. Lunch at Crantock is a variety of mouth-watering dishes or we can prepare picnics if you prefer. Evening dinner is a truly leisurely affair with all dishes cooked to order and we have an excellent choice of wines to accompany your meal.

Spoilt for choice..... If you enjoy leisure and sports activities you will be spoilt for choice at the Crantock Bay Hotel. Indoors we have our own 'Lobster Leisure' complex where there is something for everyone to enjoy, with Thalgo Beauty Spa, the superb indoor pool heated to 32 degrees, separate toddlers pool, spa bath and sauna, a table tennis room, bar billiards and a fully-equipped gymnasium. Outdoor leisure activities include an all-weather tennis court, with spectacular views over the beach, and putting green and croquet on the hotel's lawns, or sunbeds for those just wanting to relax.

Accommodation- spectacular sea views from most bed rooms. We have 31 bedrooms, most of which have spectacular sea views. A choice of twin, double, single and family rooms are all available. Extra beds, cots or bunks can be added and in the quieter months we offer FREE child places. For guests wishing to bring their dogs our garden rooms with patio doors leading directly onto the hotel gardens are particularly popular. We aim to accommodate all special requests and our experienced housekeeping team will be on hand to help you.

Crantock Bay Hotel has the perfect location to do as little or as much as you want. Many of our guests just like to relax in our gardens and gaze at the waves; others like to go off exploring. Just minutes from the hotel are two truly glorious sandy beaches, Crantock Bay and one of Cornwall’s best keep secrets - the small and totally unspoilt beach at ‘Polly Joke’. Both provide the perfect place for sunbathing, paddling, swimming, fishing and surfing. The Coastal path is at the bottom of our garden and forms part of a 300 mile coastal route for those who are feeling particularly active! We organise a special Springtime Walking Break every year if you would like to join us.

2010 Tariff From £67 to £130 depending on Room and Season and length of stay.
Terms are Per Person Per Night and are inclusive of VAT @ 17½%. Terms include Bed, Breakfast, Four Course Dinner, free use of our comprehensive Leisure facilities and free children's terms (see below). There is no service charge. The hotel has four floors; there is a stair chair down to the garden rooms on the lower ground floor, but there is no lift to the first or second floors.

Children are especially welcome at Crantock Bay Hotel. When reserving accommodation for children please state their age on the date of arrival. High Tea is served from 5.00pm-5.45pm for young children. Children’s prices when occupying a separate room from £20 to £65 per child per night depending on age and season. In Low and Mid Season, children under 12 years who share their parents’ accommodation will stay entirely FREE OF CHARGE. Children over 12 will be charged at the full adult rate.

Painting breaks at Crantock Bay Hotel

We have been providing painting holidays at Crantock Bay Hotel now for 4 years in our large studio which has views overlooking the Bay. Many marvellous painting subjects can be reached easily from the hotel. We have had much complementary feedback about the courses tutored by our ‘founding artist’ Judi Whitton and about the friendly atmosphere and food at the hotel. The demand for courses has exceeded the supply! So this year we have decided to extend the number of courses we offer.
